【人騒がせなNature誌？】アルツハイマー病が手術で感染？

ロンドン大学研究者の報告で、Creutzfeldt Jakob病と同様に、伝播する可能性を報告
だが、アイルランドのアルツハイマー協会は、この解釈について疑念を示している。


1958年から1985年ヒト成長ホルモン注射された医原性CJDで死亡した8名の患者の脳を調査の際、4名でアミロイドβ蛋白大量検出し、アルツハイマー病特性と同様の所見であるとした。のこり3名にも少量。だが、だれも認知症発症してないし、長生きしている（http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/health/scientists-fear-alzheimers-may-be-passed-on-in-surgeries-31515689.html　から引用）

Lysosomal Acid Lipase Deficiency (LALD) is a genetic disease which is characterized by abnormal lipid accumulation in many parts of the body due to a marked decrease in activity of the enzyme lysosomal acid lipase (LAL). Although a single disease, LALD presents with two major forms: early onset and late onset. Early onset LALD, also known as Wolman Disease, is characterized by severe malabsorption, growth failure, and hepatic failure and is usually fatal within the first year of life.

ウォルマン病
◆常染色体性劣性遺伝
◆酸性リパーゼの欠損のために、全身臓器にコレステリルエステルおよびトリグリセリドが蓄積して症状が起こる。
◆病型と症状
・ウォルマン病：生後１週頃より肝脾腫、嘔吐、脂肪便性下痢、腹部膨満、貧血が生ずる。通常3～6ヵ月で死亡する。
・コレステロールエステル蓄積症（CESD）：より軽症で、肝腫が乳幼時期より認められて次第に増大する。成人になってはじめて気付かれることもある。高 度の脂肪肝、肝線維症を続発する。若年において動脈硬化が進行する。
◆治療
軽症型に骨髄移植が試みられている。
